A Message from the President
Dear Delegates:
On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to thank you for attending the first ASDCM conference on local business and commerce and, in particular, for your interest in this issue. Over the past two years, we have devoted a huge amount of energy to developing working tools and building strong ties with our partners and decision-makers in the city of Montreal.
Thank you for making this first conference such a success. This is only the beginning! We will now be putting in place an action plan and meeting with City of Montreal decision-makers and elected officials to promote projects to make our city a focal point for local commerce and to improve our neighbourhoods’ quality of life.
We would especially like to thank the international participants who attended in large numbers. Your presence made this conference particularly interesting. We also thank our master of ceremonies, Dennis Trudeau, and our speakers, Michel Depatie, Jean-François Grenier, Paul Lewis, John Kiru, Joan Mateu, David Mr. Feehan, Robert Walsh, Gérard Beaudet, Serge Bouchard, Ann Nygard, Clement Demers and André Poulin.
If you are interested in becoming involved in ASDCM projects, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be delighted to work with you.
Claude Rainville
President, ASDCM
